Diane's Story

Diane's Story

"Today marks the start of Round 4 of the 21 Day fix. I've lost 12.4 lbs and 15 inches so far... If you count the week I spent figuring out the food prior to starting the workouts, it's 16.2 lbs and 19.5 inches (no before pics from 7/22 though).

Mostly, I wanted to stop the trajectory I was on since I'd quickly gained 10 lbs in < 1 year. At 163 lbs, I would have been really happy just to get back into the low 150s, and I expected the journey there to be difficult. I'm surprised (and ecstatic) at how far I've come in such a short time. This is a lifestyle change for me... no more jars of icing for this girl.

I'm really pleased with how well the 21-Day Fix fits my needs. A food plan that's very specific, but also flexible and easy to follow. I'm almost never hungry, which is a big bonus. Food prep is key... make the healthy stuff the easiest stuff to grab to eat, and I'm set.

The cravings for sugar/bread have mostly stopped (and had done so after the first couple of weeks). I credit the Shakeology with some of this for sure. I get my chocolate fix in a healthy way. What could be better than that? I still have my moments when I don't resist the bread, kettle corn, or the ice cream, but overall, I'm really proud of myself.

For me, this is more than just fitting back into my pants, I feel SO SO SO much better. I'm not exhausted all the time. That was one of my biggest complaints. I can't wait to see how skiing feels this winter, or hiking this fall.

Some things to note: I do not do doubles in Week 3. I haven't tried the 10-minute abs fix. I've missed 3 workouts overall. I have had my cheat moments, but those only in moderation.

Thanks go out to this group and it's coaches (particularly mine - Lisa Harpin Emerson). You have all been so supportive. I couldn't have done it without the accountability."

Well I don't think there is anything left for me to say. Other than WOW...just wow! Way to go Diane!
